WNC Club & Scholarships

One of the great benefits to having a chartered alumni club is the ability to organize, promote, and award scholarships to deserving young women and men from the WNC area.

Your club awarded its first scholarship to Mary DeMaio from EAST Hendersonville High in 2008 from funds raised and maintained in our local account. Funds are available now for an eligible incoming freshman.

In addition, the club seeks to establish and endowed Fund at the University. A minimum of $50,000 is required and we presently have over $6,000 toward that goalx.

As a club member you can participate in several ways by supporting our fundraising raffle, contributing to the endowed account, assisting the local college fairs, and recruiting.

Please check Scholarship navigation buttons on the left hand side of this page for more details.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!

We still need a few volunteers to help the Mission Children’s Hospital Radiothon, in partnership with 99.9 KISS Country. This is a two-day live remote at Asheville Mall and hosted by KISS personalities Eddie Fox, and Sharon Green.

The theme for of the Radiothon is "Friends for Life" and will be conducted on Friday, February 19, and Saturday, February 20th, from 6:00AM to 9:00PM each day.

The goal is to raise $100,000 (up from last years $94,000.

Volunteers are needed to answer the phone bank. The Club's three hour shift is on Friday, February 19, from 3:00 to 6:00PM. Volunteers need to be at the site 15 minutes prior to the beginning of their shift.

If you can help with this project, please call Dick Bobb (697-2521)
